Final Year Islamic SHS Student Reportedly Commits Suicide

A final year student of Islamic Senior High School (SHS) in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, has fallen to his death in a suspected suicide.

The boy, said to be the Boys’ Prefect, reportedly fell from the top floor of the school’s administration block on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, during class hours.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital by medical officials.

Reports alleged he had long been contemplating suicide for some time, with cited family sources corroborating these claims.

It was dismissed, however, as a joke.

The body has since been buried according to Islamic Traditions.
