Final Report on Constitutional Review to be Submitted on Dec 22

President John Dramani Mahama has disclosed that the final report on the review of the 1992 Constitution will be submitted to his office by the committee before Christmas.

Addressing the National Peace Council at the Jubilee House on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, he said the Committee tabled a part of its findings to him less than a month ago.

They will conclude the entire report on December 22, 2025.

“They met me three weeks ago and made a presentation of some of the findings they were going to make. They are quite interesting. They intend to present the final results on December 22. Once the final report is presented, we will make it known to the rest of the nation,” he said.

The Committee, headed by Prof. Prempeh, includes Justice Sophia Adinyirah, Prof. Kwame Karikari, Mrs Charlotte Osei, Dr Godwin Djokoto, Ibrahim Tanko Amidu, Dr Esi Ansah, and Dr Rainer Akumperigeya.

The committee was tasked with identifying gaps in previous constitutional review efforts, engaging with stakeholders to gather diverse perspectives, and proposing actionable recommendations to strengthen Ghana’s democratic institutions and processes.
