Fetu Afahye: The Most Important Person is Here- Osabarima Announces
To Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, the Paramount Chief of the Oguaa Traditional Area, all is set for the highly anticipated Oguaa Fetu Festival slated for Saturday as the Guest of Honour has already arrived in Cape Coast.
The visibly excited traditional authority could not hide his emotions at the sight of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
At a dinner held in honour of the King on Thursday, September 5, 2024, Osabarima said, “It’s great to see an array of friends gathered at one place with an aim to enjoy ourselves and most especially because Cape Coast is celebrating its 60th Anniversary of the Festival (Fetu Afahye).
“The most important for this ceremony is the presence of Otumfuo. We have been friends for a long time and I don’t know but there is something that really binds us together and I am glad that he is here to join this festival celebration…My brother, welcome. I’m so glad that you are here. You have been to other places but today you are here.”
Otumfuo will be the Guest of Honour at the event scheduled for September 7, 2024.
He arrived in the Central Region on September 5 morning prior to the festival for an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
