Fashion Industry Players In Ashanti Region Go Under One Umbrella
Players in the fashion industry within the Ashanti Region have resolved to go under one umbrella.
This new group is called the Ashanti Fashion Industry Network, which has established a secretariat. The announcement was made by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, in a recent statement.
The decision to form this network followed the successful Fashion Exhibition and Fashion Night that were part of AshantiFest 2025, an event organised by the Minister earlier this year.
“I am pleased to announce that the fashion industry in the Ashanti Region has now resolved in unity under the Ashanti Fashion Industry Network. The network has further established a secretariat and today presented to me their strategic plans and line of activities for the months ahead.”
He also reported the movie industry players’ successful reorganisation under the Kumawood Ashanti Film Association.
According to him, this sets the stage for stronger collaboration and growth within the creative arts sector.
“With this renewed energy and clear strategic direction, I will not be surprised if the fashion team provides the first walkway for the Blackstar Experience, which His Excellency the President has promised to walk on. The Ashanti Region is indeed rising as the hub of creativity, innovation, and excellence,” he added in a Facebook post.
