Fans Boo Kotoko Players After Dreams Defeat
The Asante Kotoko team was subjected to humiliation in their home as fans decided to boo them while they filed into their bus following their 1-0 defeat to Dreams FC on Sunday.
The Porcupines disappointingly failed to equalize after a first-half goal put the visitors in the lead at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
It runs into the Club’s fourth winless streak. So far, Kotoko has managed just two wins of nine games.
On Sunday, the team fell out with the fans who took the decision to usher the players, technical team, coaches and others into their bus with boos. Videos on social media showed fans crowded around the bus and showering them with boos.
But the head coach of the club, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum has urged fans not to lose hope.
Speaking to Star Times after the match, he admitted the scoreline was “disappointing” as well as the players’ finishing but promised improvement.
“The feeling among the playing body is not good. Automatically is not good. If you don’t win, the feeling is always bad…It is a league which is ongoing so they should keep supporting the team and we will make them proud.”
