Family of First MP for Odododiodoo Constituency Informs Speaker of his Passing

The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has received a delegation from the family of the late Hon. Nii Okaija Adamafio, the first MP for the Odododiodoo constituency.
The engagement was used to to formally announce his passing and arrangements for his burial.
The Speaker expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and described the late Hon. Nii Okaija Adamafio as a distinguished law influencer and a man of integrity, wisdom, courage, and empathy.
He further noted that the late statesman was masterful in his delivery and left a lasting impression on Ghanaโs parliamentary democracy.
The late Nii Okaidja Adamafio served as the Minister for Interior in the Rawlings government from 1997 to 2001.
He was the first Member of Parliament from 1997 to 2001 for the Odododiodoo constituency.
