Elation Greets Michael Dwamena’s Return From Injury
Excitement has marked the day of the entire Kumasi Asante Kotoko team and that of fans following the recovery of Michael Kyei Dwamena and his clearance to return to the pitch after weeks of absence.
The 24-year-old midfielder sustained a serious injury during a game against Karela United. He was later diagnosed with a Jones fracture and got sidelined for eight games.
The club in a statement announced his availability on April 30, 2024, creating a sense of elation.

Currently, Kotoko is 10th on the league table with 39 points and the assistance of Dwamena is expected to enhance their chances of advancing on the log.
“The midfielder has since been out, missing eight games on the sidelines. The midfield force finally joined full team training after weeks of individual sessions at Adako Jachie. His return is a huge boost as it will help our quest to finish the season in the top half of the table with six games remaining.”
Dwamena will be available for selection in their game against Legon Cities at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
