Ejisu: Two Injured, Others Arrested After Two Factions Clash Over Land Ownership
Two persons are said to have sustained some injuries after two factions claimed ownership to a piece of land situated in Baworor in the Ejisu Municipality in the Ashanti Region.
This was after Opemsuo News received a distress call from the area alleging that violence had ensued between two factions belonging to the Chief of Baworor and Oheneyere when both parties claimed ownership of same land.
When Opemsuo News Reporters, Nana Bofa and Yonkodo arrived at the scene, calm had been restored and the Police had made some arrests to that effect.
Mr Kofi Annin who is a Nephew of Baworo Abusauapanin, Mr Kofi Annin told Opemsuo News that the said disputed land is before His Majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu II of which he had ordered both parties not to visit the land or do anything on the land until the dispute is settled.
According to Mr Kofi Annin despite the orders from the King, one side of the litigants went ahead to develop on the land and in an attempt to prevent them from working on the land it resulted in the chaos.
He also disclosed that two people were injured and rushed to the Ejisu Government Hospital for medical attention.
The Ejisu Divisional Police Commander, Chief Sup. Kwaku Bempah admitted two people have been invited to assist in investigation.
