ECG Blames Transformer Issue for Agege Blackout

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) says the power cut to Agege in Accra West is a result of a fault with a transformer.
The situation has plunged Agege Zone 6, Saviour School, Zone 6 Bus stop, and the surrounding areas into darkness.
The company, in a notice, said its engineers are working to resolve the technical issue.
“ECG wishes to assure affected customers that our Engineers are working to rectify the fault and restore supply.”
Meanwhile, it apologised for the inconvenience caused to the affected customers.
In a related development, it said a power outage at Tema Int. School, EU China Mall, Don Bosco, Tulaku, Bethlehem, Sebrepor, White Estates, Emef’s Hill View Estates, Goshen, Getsile Courts and its environs were due to a fault in our network.
