ECG Awarded Best State-Owned Enterprise In Customer Experience
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has been recognised as the Best State-Owned Enterprise in Customer Experience for 2022.
The company received the award during the 11th Edition of the Marketing World Awards (MWA).
The ECG said its novel marketing strategy, “Moratorium to Customers”, earned it the award.
The MWA recognises organisations and individuals who have delivered superior product value and exhibited excellence and innovativeness.
In June 2022, the ECG announced it was granting its customers respite from sanctions that accompany the illegal use of electricity and urged such to report to ECG District or Regional offices for rectification.
Customers with post-paid metres but do not receive bills; prepaid customers who do not purchase electricity credits; customers who have bypassed or tampered with their metres and are therefore not paying for the full cost of power usage; and customers who have engaged in any form of electrical illegality are earmarked to enjoy this moratorium.
The respite ends on July 20, 2022.
