E/R: 1 Dead, 3 Injured in Accident Involving a Taxi

An accident involving an OPEL Vectra taxi with registration number GT 8521-N has claimed one life at Owura Twum off the Kibi–Suhum road in the Eastern Region.

According to eyewitnesses, a rear tyre burst, caused the vehicle to somersault and land upside down in a nearby bush.

Of the four occupants of the car, the Ghana National Fire Service reported one died while the remaining three suffered varying degrees of injuries.

The fire officers facilitated the transport of the injured to the Kibi Government Hospital for medical attention, while they handed over the deceased female to the police for preservation and further investigations.
It further reported, “The affected vehicle sustained partial damage. Firefighters cleared the scene and restored traffic flow before departing at 1128 hours.”
