Double Track System Still In Force- GES
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has dispelled reports that the double Track system in senior high schools have been abolished.
In statement, it clarified that the academic calendar had not fully transitioned into single track system.
“In the spirit of transparent and honest communication, the Ghana Education Service (GES) wishes to clarify that the 2025/2026 academic calendar has ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐ณ๐๐น๐น๐ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐น๐ฒ-๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ธ ๐๐๐๐๐ฒ๐บ, as reported in some sections of the media.”
It noted that the academic calendar makes clear provision for both ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐น๐ฒ-๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ธ and ๐ฑ๐ผ๐๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ-๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ธ schools.
It noted that the 2025/2026 academic year officially begins on ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐, ๐ญ๐ด๐๐ต ๐ข๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฑ, when all first-year students are expected to report.
The academic year will end on ๐๐๐ด๐๐๐ 21, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ for single-track schools and ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ 4, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ for double-track schools.
