Disregard Leaked Vetting Results- Sam Pyne
The Ashanti Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Samuel Pyne has debunked the leaked vetting results of the KMA aspirants.
According to the Chief scribe of the New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti region, the vetting committee has not officially made the results available in public, and he is surprised such a thing is out.
Results of candidates who were vetted for the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly were released by unknown on Social Media indicating the marks of the aspirants.
Reacting on the leaked results on ‘Nkwantannanso’ morning show on Opemsuo 104.7 fm, Mr. Sam Pyne debunked the results in affirmative.
“The results are fake! They are not from the committee which conducted the vetting process. They have not finished with the process so how can they bring this out.”
“Per the experience I have gained from 1992 General election to date, I can tell you that someone is behind it just to achieve something.”
Four people have sailed through the vetting process for the position of KMA Chief Executive. The candidates include the incumbent mayor, Hon. Osei Asibey Antwi, Director of Urban roads, Ing. Nana Atta Poku Agyemang, Samuel Pyne, Ashanti regional Secretary of NPP, Kennedy Kankam former Nhyeaso MP, Randy Collins Owusu Amankwa, former MP Manhyia North, Kwabena Mensah.
Assembly members within the Kumasi Metropolis are waiting for the President of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo to nominate one of the four aspirants for them to also approve as enshrined in the Constitution.
