Disburse Paid Funds to Cocoa Farmers- PBC to Licensed Buying Companies

PBC Limited has encouraged Licensed Buying Companies (LBCs) to disburse funds released by the government for the payment of cocoa farmers for their supplies.

In a statement, it noted that it will not hesitate to report recalcitrant LBCs who exploit farmers to the regulator for appropriate sanctions.

It further appealed to cocoa farmers in the Volta Region and across the country to remain calm during these challenging times.

“PBC assures farmers, particularly in the Volta Region, that their interests will be protected and that no actions will be allowed to cause them loss of income.”

It also reaffirmed its loyalty and dedicated partnership with COCOBOD, competitors, Ghanaian cocoa farmers, and all other players in the cocoa supply chain as we resume full operations in the market.

As of February 19, 2026, the Ghana Cocoa Board said it had released Ghc1.9 billion for the payment of farmers.
