Daddy Lumba’s Family Incurs Wrath of Nananom for Disgracing the Legend

The family of the late Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has incurred the wrath of Nananom for dragging the name of the music legend into disrepute with their rift.

The traditional authorities on November 10, 2025, sat on the case following the invocation of the Great Oath.

They observed that the incidents that have characterised Lumba’s death have been unpleasant.

They recognised that the late legend has now become a public ridicule rather than a celebrated personality.

“You are disgracing Lumba. Everyone is watching and ridiculing him because of this case. Is it good? What do you want? Are you after properties? What is the matter?” Baffour Kantankrankyi, a Linquist of the Asantehene, said.

He called for unity to make way for an honourable and befitting burial for the deceased.

Decisions
The invoker of the oath was informed about the Asantehene’s decision to pardon her for the vain act, cautioning her to desist from such actions.

It was stated that the funeral will proceed, albeit on a new date.

Nananom also decided that the issue of postmortem would be handled by the police, while December 13 was set as the new date.

“The police will have to deal with the suspicion of foul play in the death. We work with the law. It’s a case for the police, and we cannot keep the body unburied until the case is settled. If you weren’t consulted for the date, we will have to set a new date…If the police feel the burial must be delayed, they will secure an injunction,” Baffour Kantankrankyi, linguist of Asantehene, said, refusing the request for an order for postmortem.”

In addition, the linguist noted that the barring or otherwise of any of the wives from the funeral will be left for the court.

“Whether any of the wives will be barred from the funeral will be the court’s decision. We cannot resolve the case of the women here. It’s already with the court.”

The traditional authorities also instantly dissolved the existing Funeral Committee of the family.

“A new Committee will be set to take charge of the funeral arrangements.”
