Daasebre’s Name Will Never Be Forgotten- Asante Mamponghemaa

The Queen of Asante Mampong Traditional Council, Nana Agyakoma Difie II, believes the impact of the late Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, will continue to resonate within Asanteman and Asante Mampong.

The Queen who traditionally was mother to the Paramount chief in her tribute, asserted that his name will live on, inspiring future generations.

“In the hearts of your people, in the stories yet to be told, and in the soul of our tradition, your name will never be forgotten in every corner of Mampongman and Asanteman.”

Nana Agyakoma Difie while reflecting on his reign said he championed the development of the Mampong Traditional Area.

“Daasebre, you have not departed in sorrow, but in glory. You journey not as one who has fallen, but as one who has fulfilled. The ancestors await you in open arms and loud voices raised in welcome.”

The Queen remembers the late chief as her strongest supporter, advisor, and confidant.

“In the year 2000, when the Queenmother’s Stool became vacant, Daasebre believed in me, even though I was young and still finding my feet. He gave me his full support and installed me as Queenmother of Asante Mampong.

“From that moment, and throughout my 25 years on the stool, he remained my strongest supporter, my advisor, and confidant. He ensured I succeeded in my initiative by offering his wise counsel and encouragement.”
