Curfew on Bole and Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Lifted

The Ministry of Interior has lifted the curfew on Bole and Sawla-Tuna-Kalba towns in the Savannah Region.

By Executive Instrument, the relaxation of the restriction takes effect immediately, the Ministry announced in a statement on December 8, 2025.

It cited the prevailing peace and security in the areas for the decision.

“Government continues to urge Chiefs, Opinion Leaders, Youth, and People of the area to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them and to use non-violent means to channel their energies into ensuring peace in the area.”
