CSA to Sanction Practitioners, Establishments Operating Without Licence
The Cyber Security Authority of Ghana has announced plans to crack down on practitioners, professionals and establishments operating without a valid licence and accreditation in accordance with Cybersecurity ACT 2020 (ACT 1038).
The exercise will take effect on January 31, 2026, it conveyed in a press statement.
“Effective 31 January 2026, all Cybersecurity Service Providers (CSPs), Cybersecurity Establishments (CES), and Cybersecurity Professionals (Ps) operating without a valid licence or accreditation will be sanctioned.”
It comes after the CSA issued notice to the parties to obtain the needed documentation for their operations.
The Authority warned that entities found culpable will be subjected to criminal proceedings and administrative fines.
Encouraging the public to engage only licensed entities, it noted that a list of all licensed practitioners, establishments and professionals will be released in the coming days.
It directed the public to verify the licence or accreditation status of any entity or individual by authenticating
the certificate number online at https://www.csa.gov.gh/licence.
