Continue Hammering Us If You Don’t Want Us to Go to World Cup- Otto Addo

The head Coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo says the support of the entire country will do the magic in qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

He believes public support is one of the missing elements fueling the abysmal output of the Black Stars.

According to him, the destructive criticisms and hostility targeting the team are factors that must be watched.

“I think it’s a complex thing. It’s maybe more psychological. Surely, there was a lot of hatred coming from outside against me, against the team. I can just assure you that I think in all, sometimes it affects the players.”

He foresees this could affect the country’s World Cup ambition if not checked.

“We need support, that’s all if all of you want Ghana to win. We are very down now. If you don’t want us to go to the World Cup, then you can continue, and then you can hammer on us. But if you really want us to go to the World Cup, you need to support us, that’s all I can say,” he said at a presser.

Ghana failed to qualify for the Nations Cup for the first time in 20 years after they drew against Angola in Luanda.

They will play against Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium on November 18 in the last game.
