Climate Change Responsible For Changing Rain Patterns

The Kumasi Metropolitan Meteorological Officer, Kwame Ofori Agyeman has explained that climate change is responsible for the change in rain patterns in the country.
“As the climate keeps changing, we must also prepare ahead.”
Speaking on Opemsuo Radio on Tuesday, August 28, 2021, the Meteorological Officer stated that the smaller rains in October and September have overtaken the bigger rains in March, April, May, and June.
“The current rains pattern is having a diverse effect on our living especially the agricultural sector,” he said.
According to the Meteorological Officer, the rains are currently preventing cocoa farmers from drying their cocoa seeds.
He added that certain crops cannot be cultivated because it requires little rain.
