Chairman Wontumi: The Kind Of English I Speak Earns Me money

Bernard Antwi Boasiako, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ashanti Regional Chairman has noted that his kind of English language is not at all useless but useful to himself and his employees.

According to him, the English he speaks earns him more money.

He was reacting to comments that dispute that he is a product of the prestigious Prempeh College in Kumasi due to his English.

But clearing the air and establishing that he indeed attended Prempeh College, Chairman Wontumi, as he is known, noted that “the one who topped our class is called Senior Bula. He is now a police officer and I’m here.”

For the kind of English he speaks, he said, “We give them (our audience) what they need to listen to while we are working.”

In his opinion about the essence of school in a person’s life, he said “We go there (school) to make friends and also have information to help us in future”.
