Celebrating the Pillar of Peace: Buy Otumfuo Gold Coin as an Investment- Napo

The Minister for Energy, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as Napo has advised Ghanaians with the requisite capacity to take advantage of the 24-karat Otumfuo Commemorative Gold coin and store their money for high-yielding returns.

According to him, this is a profitable investment that could be tapped.

A piece of the coin minted and launched three years ago was presented to the Minister in his office during which he delivered the advice.

Explaining, he said gold is a store of value, and since it has official authorisation, investing in it holds good for anyone who purchased it.

“It is always good to store your money in gold and I will encourage every able Ghanaian willing, and with the resources, to have this value stored for you. You buy it today and I’m sure in five years it will appreciate in value,” he stated.

E ON 3 Group, a business and investment solutions company in Ghana, and its key partners today reflect on the statement of the Minister during a visit to his office on February 22, 2022, as they celebrate the King on his 25th Anniversary.

The Otumfuo Gold Coin Project is aimed at celebrating the legacies and achievements of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, overlord of the Ashanti Kingdom, especially in the areas of peace and stability, as evidenced in his success of restoring peace in Dagbon following 17 years of chieftaincy disputes.

Recipients
The first coin was purchased at a rate of GH¢1 million by the KGL Group, while the second coin was presented to Otumfuo. The third and fourth coins went to President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia respectively.

The Chief Justice, His Lordship Justice Kwasi Anin-Yeboah, received the fifth coin while the Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Rev. Daniel Ogbarmey Tetteh and the Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG) received the sixth and seventh coins respectively.
