C/R: Seven Shops Ravaged By Fire at Abankeseso

Seven shops at Abankeseso at Dunkwa-on-Offin in the Central Region have been razed down by fire.
The service said the fighters under the command of ADOI Hammond responded to the scene within minutes, managed to bring the fire under control and fully extinguish it.
A statement by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) on May 26, 2025, said no casualties occurred.
According to the Service, but for their dexterity, the fire would have spread to an eleven-bedroom house and four shops.
“Firefighters successfully salvaged an eleven-bedroom house and four shops, including two gold shops, a salon, and a wholesale shop.”
The firefighters have since commenced investigations into the cause of the fire.
