C/R: Fuel Tanker Explodes at Potsin Junction

A fuel tanker has exploded into flames at Potsin Junction in the Central Region, affecting a neighbouring household in the area.

The incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

The fierce blaze was doused by firefighters from the Apam Fire Station and Kasoa Fire Stations, assisted by a private water tanker.

While the fire, which spread to an adjoining house, was fully extinguished quite early, it took a while to contain the fuel tanker fire.

They successfully contained and fully extinguished it around 10 am.

“Firefighters have successfully brought the situation under full control,” it said in a brief statement.
