C/R: Fisherman Jailed 10 Years For Defiling 13-year-old Girl

A 49-year-old fisherman has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment in hard labour for defiling a teenager at Mumford, a suburb of Apam in the Central Region.
The sentence was delivered by the Cape Coast Circuit Court Two presided over by Her Honour Nana Aba Quiba Nunoo on October 28, 2025.
This was after the accused person, identified as Samuel Armah, also known as Kofi Nyan, pleaded guilty to the charge of defilement.
“He has since been sent to Ankaful Prison to begin his sentence,” the Ghana Police Service confirmed in a statement on October 29, 2025.
Samuel was arrested on October 17 after it was reported that the fisherman had lured the 13-year-old victim to a ghetto and defiled her.
