C/R: Driver Trapped, 6 others Injured as Sprinter Collides with Trailer at Moree Junction

Six other passengers on a sprinter bus have sustained varying degrees of injuries in an accident at Moore that trapped the driver.

The sprinter bus with registration number GW 7746-25 reportedly collided with a trailer with registration number GW 3028-19.

A statement issued by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said the accident occurred at the Moree toll booth in the Central Region on March 27, 2026.

Firefighters from the Metropolitan Fire Station in Cape Coast rescued the trapped sprinter driver, who was sent to Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for medical care.

“Six other casualties, rescued before the fire Service team’s arrival, were also sent to the same hospital,” a statement by the Service reported.

It also reported partial damage to both vehicles.

Authorities have since commenced investigations into the cause of the accident.
