Bundesliga Side VfL Wolfsburg Signs Ghanaian Defender Jonas Adjetey Until 2030

German Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg has announced the signing of Black Stars defender Jonas Adjei Adjetey in the final hours of the just-closed winter window.
The 22-year-old is joining from Swiss giants FC Basel and penned down a four year deal which will keep him at the Volkswagen Arena until 2030.
The stalwart center-back has been playing in Europe since 2022 and has had so much experience and exposure within that period with 104 matches to his belt, 58 in the Swiss main league, 32 in the Promotion League, six in the Europa League and one in the UEFA Champions League.
In the ongoing season, Jonas has made 23 appearances with 15 in the league and has no goal contribution yet.
He is expected to make instant impact and bring in stability at the back for manager Daniel Bauer who sees him as the perfect solution to their recent defensive woes.
He is expected to mark his debut for Wolfsburg this weekend when they welcome giants Borussia Dortmund in match-day 21 of the Bundesliga.
Jonas Adjei Adjetey has been with the Black Stars for almost two years now and was integral in thw qualifiers as he is expected to make coach Otto Addo’s final squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
