Body of Schoolgirl “Visiting Her Boyfriend” Retrieved from Pool

The body of a female student has been retrieved from a pool at Tomefa in the Ga South Municipality.

According to a statement from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), Gloria Segoe was in town to visit her boyfriend on Monday.

However, her body was found drowned in a pool of water.

“Last night (Monday, June 23, 2025), GNFS rescue personnel retrieved the lifeless body of a schoolgirl, Gloria Segoe, from a pool of water at Tomefa in the Ga South Municipality…The operation began at 2202 hours and ended at 2242 hours.”

The body has since been handed over to the police.

Meanwhile, an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding her untimely passing.
