Samartex Take Lead After Match Week 14

After 14 games in the Ghana Premier League, FC Samartex 1996 is leading the league log with 26 points.

Samartex have won their last three games against Hearts of Lion, Boafoakwa Tano and Real Tamale United (RTU) and conceded no goal in their last two.

They have eight wins- the same as second-pegged Aduana FC. They have two draws and four losses so far this season. The Tarkwa-based club have conceded seven goals the lowest this season.

Meanwhile, Aduana Stars are two points below Samartex after losing 2-1 to Karela United in their last game.

Nsoatreman, Bechem United, Nations FC, Berekum Chelsea, Asante Kotoko, Legon Cities and Hearts of Oak follow accordingly with 24, 23, 23, 23, 22, 18 and 16 points respectively.

Champions Medeama have three outstanding matches as a result of their continental campaign. With 11 games played, the Yellow and Mauves hold 16 points and placed 10th followed by Bofoakwa Tano who once led the league.

Bofoakwa also have two outstanding games and hold 16 points from 12 games.

Great Olympics, Accra Lions, Karela United and Dreams FC respectively sit in the 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th positions with 16, 16, 15 and 14 points respectively.

Inside the relegation zone are RTU, Bibiani Goldstar and Hearts of Lion.
