Blame Circles For Poor Stadium Attendance-Chairman K5
Former National Circles Council Chairman, Kwaku Amponsah, has revealed that inactive Circles has contributed to the poor attendance at the stadium.
The former Kotoko Board member believes that the Ghanaian giant is recording low numbers at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium because the official supporters body has not been very active.
Spectatorship in the 2021/22 season has become an issue of concern following how poor it has been, and Kotoko’s home matches have not been different.
The Porcupine Warriors have been in vintage form in the 2021/22 season with a giant lead on the league log, but unfortunately, it has not received any appreciable support at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
In an exclusive interview with Chairman Kwaku Amponsah, otherwise known as K5 on Opemsuo 104.7, he blamed Circles for the poor attendance.
“Now Kotoko is winning, Kotoko has superb players and administratively, Kotoko is doing well, so what at all will stop someone from going to Stadium?”
He added, “I have heard people trying to find solutions to the problem of poor stadium attendance, but for me, I will blame Circles for the poor attendance at the stadium. The Circles are not doing enough regarding Match promotion and organising supporters.”
