B/ER: Man Exposed, Arrested After Operating Unlicensed Clinic For 11 Years
The police have arrested a man for operating an unlicensed clinic at Yeji Zongo in the Bono East Region for the past 11 years.
Identified as Hanson Osei, he was busted on September 28, 2025, following a visit by the police to his residence.
According to a police statement, he had converted a chamber-and-hall room into a clinic.
A search of the premises uncovered several used clinical items, including needles, malaria injection bottles, infusion rubber sachets, and other medical materials.
“During interrogation, the suspect admitted that he had been operating the clinic for the past eleven (11) years without authorisation from any recognised medical school or licensing authority.”
He was arraigned at the Tuobodom District Court on September 30, 2025 and remanded to reappear on October 6, 2025.
