B/ER: Gulumpe Curfew Lifted

The Minister for Interior, Hon Muntaka Mubarak, has lifted the curfew on Gulumpe Township and its environs in the Kintampo North Municipality of the Bono East Region.

The lifting takes effect immediately.

According to the Ministry, it was necessitated by the genuine desire of the chiefs and people of the area to sustain peace in the area.

It also cited an improvement in the security situation in the area.

“Government continues to express its gratitude to the Chiefs, Elders, Opinion Leaders, Youth, and people of the area and urges them to continue to resort to peaceful means in solving their problems.”
