Leading sterile pharmaceutical company Atlantic Lifesciences has commenced large-scale production and distribution of Anti-Snake Venom in Ghana.
The life-saving medication is a significant step towards reducing reliance on imports and strengthening local pharmaceutical capacity.
Led by a dynamic team with an average age of just 35, this initiative goes beyond medicine.
“Producing our first biological product, which is the anti-snake vaccine and bringing it to the market, is a major milestone and a moment of immense pride for our team,” shares Jafar Seidu Tonzua, Head of International Business at Atlantic Lifesciences.
In a statement, the German Embassy in Ghana said the initiative is about innovation, job creation, economic empowerment, and building a healthier future for Ghana.
”Germany, with co-financing from the European Union, is proud to partner with Atlantic Lifesciences in supporting Ghana’s ambition to become a regional vaccine production hub and in strengthening the country’s healthcare infrastructure.”
This programme is co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development as part of the Team Europe Initiative MAV+.
