Assistant Coach of Hearts Charged for Assault

The Assistant Coach of Hearts of Oak, Gazale Abdulai, has been charged with misconduct under the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Code, 2019.

Abdulai was captured attacking a football assistant while the visitors trailed by 1-0 at the TNA Park in a game against Medeama SC on match day 17 of the Ghana Premier League (GPL).

His conduct is said to be in breach of Article 12(1)(h) of the Disciplinary Code.

He has until Thursday, January 8, 2026, to respond to the charge.

Reports indicated that the attack came when the visiting team’s official accused the football assistant of deliberately delaying the return of balls for play to resume.
