Assembly Members Must Compromise On Presidential MMDCE Nominees
George Ayisi-Boateng, Ghana’s former Ambassador to South Africa and leading member of the New Patriotic Party has advised Assembly Members to compromise on Presidential MMDCE nominees.
It has always been a good idea that MMDCEs represent the Government and implement programmes and projects at the local level.
He said this in an interview on Opemsuo 104.7 radio’s Morning Show, Nkwantananso, on Friday, October 8, 2021.
Ghana’s former Ambassador to South Africa stated that the MMDCEs nomination was delayed for 9 months so the Assembly Members rejecting nominees will not be of any help.
“The President will never appoint your favorite, he will appoint who he wants to work with, so it’s advisable you accept the nominee and work with him/her to help improve development at the local level, he added.
