Asanteman Traditional Council Has No Social Contract With Ghana – AYA
General Secretary of the Asante Youth Association (AYA), has condemned the United Progressive Party’s founder and leader, Akwasi Addae Odike’s act against Asanteman and Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
He emphasized that the Asanteman Traditional Council headed by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has no social contract with the country with pledges to be mandatorily dragged to fulfil them like the situation of social democratic political parties.
He emphasized that Akwasi Addae Odike has spoken beyond boundaries that need to be thought lessons and let pay the price for his actions. He linked Mr. Odike’s ‘irresponsible’ comment to frustration and desperation in his political ambition.
He alleged that there are a number of people with similar intentions who are desperately looking for major platforms to convey them to the public which as a result land them on social media.
He stated that this is irksome to the Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo Marfo’s statement that Asanteman was inactive towards Ghana’s independence fight and has to belittle in sharing the national cake.
According to him, Asanteman was independent and did not easily succumb to the sovereignty of the British Crown. In a nutshell, he said Osafo Marfo’s statement is deceitful and does not hold water.
