Asanteman Mourns: We Are Solidly Behind You- Asantehene’s In-laws

The sons-in-law of the King of the Asante Kingdom have shown their unwavering support during this difficult time as Asanteman mourns the passing of Nana Konadu Yiadom III.

Dr. George Adom Asafu Adjaye Frimpong of Spetra Health Services and Mr. Sylvester Osei Mensah expressed their condolences to their father-in-law while committing to assist Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in whatever way they can be of use.

“They have been part of all the activities since the news struck, but they needed to come officially express their sympathies and express their unflinching support. They are firmly behind you in this difficult time,” their spokesperson informed the Asantehene’s linguist.

They used the occasion to donate packs of water and Bodukwan fruit juice.

They were among sympathisers who visited the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on August 28, 2025, to mourn with His Majesty.

This is exactly a week after the One Week of the late Nana Konadu Yiadom III was observed.

Others included traditional authorities, Rev Dr Opuni Frimpong, a Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr Gabriel Boakye, CEO of Anwiam Hospital, MTN Ghana, Ghana Bar Association (GBA), SIC Insurance PLC, Ashanti Regional Passport Office, Owabe Group and the Asante Students Union (ASU).

The burial rites for the Queen are scheduled to begin on September 14 and end on September 18.
