The Chief Executive Officer of Anwiam Hospital, Dr Gabriel Boakye, and his wife have donated packs of bottled water and beverages to the Manhyia Palace.

The donation is in support of the upcoming burial rites of the late Nana Konadu Yiadom III, Asantehemaa.

They announced the donation of 200 packs of water and drinks to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on Thursday.

“Upon receiving the news of the passing of the revered Asantehemaa, we felt compelled to pay our respects and offer our heartfelt support and sincerest sympathies to the bereaved family and the entire Ashanti Kingdom.”

The couple were among sympathisers who thronged the Palace on August 28, 2025, exactly a week after the One Week Observation of the late Asantehemaa.

Others were traditional authorities, Rev Dr Opuni Frimpong, a Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), the Ghana Bar Association (GBA), SIC Insurance PLC, MTN Ghana, Ashanti Regional Director of Passport Office, Owabe Group and the Asante Students Union (ASU).

The burial rites for the Queen will commence on September 14 and end on September 18.
