Asantehene’s Guidance Has Won Us Public University of the Year Award- AAMUSTED
The Vice Chancellor of the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), Frederick Kwaku Sarfo, has credited the invaluable guidance of the King of the Asante Kingdom for the successes the institution has chalked.
Among the successes, he said was its recognition as the Public University of the Year by the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) in the previous year.
Speaking at the first Awukudae Festival of the year on January 1, 2025, Prof Kwaku Sarfo expressed his gratitude for the services of the King.
“We thank Otumfuo for his counsel, direction and help for the University. We have improved so much. Last year, when NUGS met, AAMUSTED was awarded with the Public University of the Year accolade.”
He recalled how formidable the King had been in the establishment of the institution and entreated His Majesty’s continued counsel and direction in the new year.
“AMMUSTED came about because of Otumfuo. He was a formidable force in the establishment of the institution…We still need your guidance.”
Extending their good wishes to the King in the new year, he informed him of their upcoming congregation next week.
The delegation from AAMUSTED included the Registrar, Mr Augustus Kwaw Brew.
