Asantehene’s Engagements for Day 3 In Suriname

The King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, is scheduled for a series of engagements in Suriname today, November 26, 2026.
The final day of the state visit will witness courtesy visits. The Monarch will first meet President H.E. Jennifer Geerlings-Simons at the Presidential Palace at Onafhankelijkheidsplein before engaging the Speaker of the National Assembly, The Hon. Dr Ir. Michael A.S. Adhin, at Onafhankelijkheidsplein 10.
This will be followed by a meeting with Mrs Ingrid Bouterse-Waldring, a Member of The National Assembly at TBR and another with the Vice Speaker of The National Assembly, The Hon. Ronnie Brunswijk, at the National Assembly at Onafhankelijkheidsplein 10.
The day will culminate with an engagement with Mr Chandrikapersad Santokhi, Member of the National Assembly at TBR.
The Asantehene arrived in the southern American country on November 24, accompanied by a delegation made up of Nana Otuo Siriboe II, Juabenhene, Nana Effah-Apenteng, Bompatahene, Nana Agyekum Kusi II, Oyokohene, Baffour Osei Kwame Kantankrakyi, Otumfuo Kyeame and Oheneba Owusu Korkor, Asamponghene.
His Majesty, as part of the visit, graced the country’s 50th Independence Anniversary held on November 25, 2025.
The Monarch will depart Suriname on November 27, 2025.
