Asantehene’s Anniversary: Nkosuofekuo Donates Motorbikes

Five motorbikes have been donated to the Manhyia Palace purposely to aid and facilitate service delivery and errands towards preparations for the 25th Anniversary celebration of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

The donation by the Nkosuo Division of the Kumasi Traditional Council was presented by Nana Osei Kwame Kyeretwie, the head of the Division.

He gave them out during the second Akwasidae festival of the year on February 18, 2024, in the company of some members of the Division.

Presenting them, Nana Osei Kwame Kyeretwie said that one of the 70cc motorbikes would be given to the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs for the same purpose.

He stated that the bikes are economical, hence their preference over cars or other types of motorbikes.

“The bikes are 70 CC and that makes them very economical compared to other means of transport. A gallon of petrol can last for about two weeks. These bikes are to be used to run errands relating to the 25th anniversary.”

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu is marking his Silver Jubilee on the Golden Stool this year. The celebration has a plethora of events in store, including dinners, clean-up exercises, durbars and thanksgiving service

These events would be used to celebrate his remarkable leadership over Asanteman and his influence in the country and beyond.
