Asantehene Wines and Dines With Akwasidae Guests
The Occupant of the Golden Stool, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, hosted a luncheon for his guests as part of the grand Akwasidae celebration.
The King wined and dined with his guests at his official residence at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Sunday, January 19, 2025.
This was after the durbar for the first Akwasidae Festival of the year was hosted at the Dwabrem grounds of the Palace.
The formal lunch saw entertaining live band music performances. It was the Mesduah Band that raised the curtain, calming nerves as guests prepared for the arrival of the King and the President.
They later whipped Nananom and other guests onto their feet with their captivating all-genre music performances.
The Daughters of Glorious Jesus also performed some soothing gospel songs in praise of God with a variety of mouthwatering meals and drinks being served to guests.
Present at the lunch were Nananom, President John Dramani Mahama, the Canadian High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Myriam Montrat, NDC National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia and other dignitaries.
