Asantehene Welcomes New St. Louis College of Education Principal

St. Louis College of Education has formally presented its new principal, Professor Theresah Antwi, to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, during the 8th Awukudae Festival of the year held at the Manhyia Palace on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
A delegation from the college, led by Archbishop Gabriel Anokye, paid homage to the King and sought his blessings for Professor Antwi as she assumes leadership of the institution.
Professor Antwi, who has been in office for a little over six weeks, expressed her appreciation to the Asantehene and described her early experience at the college as smooth and encouraging.
“It’s been a month and two weeks since I assumed office, and everything is going well. I’m truly grateful, Otumfuo.”
In response, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II welcomed her warmly and urged her to continue the good work being done at St. Louis College of Education. He also called on the school’s management to support her fully in carrying out her duties.
“I entrusted the land to the school to you, so now that you’re here, continue the work and do it well. The management must not leave everything to her — support her in carrying out her duties.”
The delegation later took turns to shake hands with the Asantehene, after which Archbishop Emeritus Anokye offered prayers for His Majesty’s continued wisdom and blessings.
Also joining the festival to pay homage were Komfo Anokye Nursing and Midwifery Training College, the Bright and Pure Holiness Ministry, and business entities including the Asanteman Cold Store Association, Mantrack Company, KASSAB Trading and Restaurant, and Westec Security Ghana Ltd.
The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), in collaboration with the Mayo Clinic Global Health Programme (MCGHP) and a team of cardiologists from the United Kingdom (UK), also participated, alongside the Asanteman Europe Association.
