Asantehene to Present Bawku Mediation Report to Mahama on Tuesday
The King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will hand over his report on the Bawku mediation process next week.
It will be done at the Jubilee House on November 16, 2025, a statement by the Presidency confirmed.
“His Royal Majesty, The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu Il, will present the report on the Mediation in the Bawku conflict to President John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday, 16th December, 2025.”
After wrapping up the mediation process on December 1, 2025, the Manhyia Palace said the Asantehene was hoping the President would act expeditiously and convene a formal meeting of all interested parties to announce the outcome of the mediation.
Meanwhile, the King has urged the leaders of the feuding parties to start psyching up their supporters to be prepared to put an end permanently to violence and disorder in their communities.
During the concluding segment, Otumfuo convened a face-to-face meeting between the contending parties, the Kusasi and Mamprusi factions in the conflict, committed to peace ahead of the declaration of the outcome of the Asantehene-led resolution process.
His Majesty thanked both sides for their civility and maturity and urged them to remember that whatever the outcome of the mediation, they would have to live together as brothers and sisters.
