Asantehene to Elevate Selected Stools in Bono and Ahafo Regions to Paramountcy
Before the year ends, the Asanteman Council will welcome at least four new paramountcies into its abode.
Some Divisional Councils in the Bono and Ahafo Regions will be honoured by the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene with elevations.
Otumfuo is minded to elevate Councils in the Bono Region such as Nkyeraa, Fiapre, Atronie and Menye.
He made this known during the Asanteman Council meeting at the Manhyia Palace on Monday, March 17, 2025.
“Nkyeraa is mine, Menye is mine. No one other than myself can elevate them. They are all mine…and other towns I will elevate in Bono and Ahafo this year. I will do it. No one else but I have the sole authority to elevate them.”
A list of all the affected Councils will first be laid before the Asanteman Council before their chiefs are invited to take their respective oaths of allegiance, the Asantehene announced.
“When the time is due, I will inform Nananom so we invite them.”
