His presence will conclude the burial rites and pave way for the burial of the paramount chief in accordance with the tradition of the Asante Kingdom.
The King’s entourage has arrived in Berekum, while the King is expected to make his presence later this afternoon.
Daasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II known in private life as Dr Leonard Ofori was reported to have joined his ancestors in June 2023 after a short illness.
The medical practitioner by profession was enstooled in February 2001 in succession to Nana Yiadom Boakye II, his uncle.
However, the prime moments of his reign were characterized by a dispute over his reign, which was subsequently settled through a court ruling in December 2017.
