Asantehene Returns From Official Visit To UK Tomorrow
The King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will return to Ghana after spending twenty days in the United Kingdom (UK).
He is scheduled to arrive in Ghana on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
He is expected to be welcomed at the Kumasi Airport by some traditional rulers and other government officials, as has been the customary practice.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II departed for the UK on September 10, 2023.
As part of the official visit, he delivered a keynote address at the St Andrews Africa Summit (SAASUM) on September 16, 2023 and held a meeting with the Chancellor of the St Andrews University in Scotland, Professor Dame Sally Mapstone DBE FRS the same day.
He also made some visits to other iconic places in the country.
Ahead of his return, His Majesty celebrated the Awukudae festival in Kingswood, a suburb in the South Gloucestershire district of Gloucestershire in southwestern England on September 27.
It marked the seventh Awukudae of the year during which he received royals of the Asante Kingdom and Ghanaians living in the European country and natives of the country.
