Asantehene Is God-sent To Asanteman And Ghana – Donasohene

The Chief of Donaso and Manwerehene of Ejisu Traditional Area, Nana Akwasi Agyekum, has stated that Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is God’s gift to Asanteman and Ghana as a whole.

He says Asantehene deserves to be celebrated not only by Asanteman but by Ghana as a whole, judging from his impact and intervention in various developmental projects or policies that have brought development, sharpened, and strengthened the country.

According to him, the King’s leadership role has served as an encouragement, motivation, and mentor to many leaders across the world, and he urged Nananom to also emulate his leadership prowess and support the people in their various community needs and wants.

Speaking with Opemsuo Radio’s Maame Adwoa Essoun, he sought God’s blessings with good health for Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as he celebrates the Silver Jubilee since enstoolment.

Nana Donasohene questioned Nananom about what exactly the people in their communities have benefitted from them as chiefs.

“As a chief, have you thought about the welfare of your community or used the sold-out land money to construct projects for your communities? When you are asked to give an account of all the developmental projects your outfit has established for the people in your communities, will you be able to do so?”

He called on Nananom to wake up from their slumber and continue the good works of their forefathers who sacrificed their blood for the interest of the stools and Asanteman.

The chief emphasized that Asantehene would be happy if Nananom, in their own way, took steps to address the challenges confronting the people in their communities.

Regarding the upcoming cleanup exercise across Asanteman, Nana Akwasi Agyekum urged all citizens to adhere to and participate in the cleanup exercise.

The chief went ahead to suggest that the cleanup exercise be carried out periodically to keep the environment clean.
