Asantehene Formally Informed About Demise of Apostle Kwadwo Safo

The King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has been formally informed about the demise of Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo, the founder of Kantanka Automobile and Kristo Asafo Church.
The technological icon, philanthropist, agriculturalist and industrialist passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
A delegation led by Nana Osei Fosu Adutwum, Kwasohene, officially informed the Asantehene on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
Among the delegation were former Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya Constituency, Hon Sarah Adwoa Safo and her siblings, namely Ohemaa Ama Safowaa and Nana Ama Safo Nyankonton.
Otumfuo charged the family to conduct the preparations for the funeral with the utmost decorum to honour their legend.
“In accordance with tradition, make my office abreast with all preparations. Avoid all forms of violence and misunderstandings that may mar the funeral.
“He was an accomplished man, and so he must be accorded the needed honour. Go by tradition to avoid any misunderstandings. Whatever you plan must be in accordance with tradition.”
His Majesty also offered his unflinching support to the family.
The family is yet to make plans for the One Week Observation and the funeral rites.
“His children, family and church will make the arrangements and then inform Otumfuo before a public announcement,” the Kwamohene told Opemsuo Radio’s George Addo on the sidelines of the courtesy call.
He further appealed to the public to put a stop to the unwholesome social media commentaries to allow his children to mourn their father.
