Asantehene Calls For Unity Among Asante Queens
The Occupant of the Golden Stool, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has reminded the queens in his realm about the place of unity.
Addressing them at a party organized by his wife on December 22, His Majesty affirmed that unity is the hallmark of Asanteman and therefore called on them to do away with discord.
He reminded them that the kingdom was founded on the strength of unity and therefore cannot be excluded.
“This is all aimed at uniting us because unity was used to establish Asante. You are the bedrock of Asante. You know I am always behind you. If you are troubled by any issues, I will look into them and resolve them for peace to prevail.”
Otumfuo further noted that the event was going to be entrenched as part of the annual schedules of the Palace to allow for the queens to bond with each other.
“My wife will continue to hold this party.”
Lady Julia Osei Tutu, the wife of the Asantehene, organised the banquet to celebrate Asante Queens for their contributions to the development and prestige of the kingdom.
The Queens beautifully donned their dinner outfits and made an impressive appearance for the night.
As part of the event, which Her Highness described as a chance to unwind, the Queens wined, dined, and danced joyfully.
